Professor Jürgen Tautz and nature photographer Ingo Arndt observed for the first time for their new book Waldneisen and of whom some of whom documented their amazing behavior. The “Krone” interviewed Professor Tautz on the occasion of his visit to Vorarlberg.
Krone: Professor Tautz, you are best known for your research into Honeybee, what did you pretend to have written a book about Forest Ants?
Professor Jügen Tautz: Like a classic zools, I always attracted to expand the spectrum of animal species that I have treated. So far my motivation was scientific curiosity. The situation is different with the Forest Ants project. It is very concerned that biodiversity is increasingly under pressure. This also influences the decline of insects. From the conviction that people can be opened for this problem, if you clearly present both the miracles and the vulnerability of nature, the Ants Book project with the great photos of Ingo Arndt was a welcome component for me.
