Bilbao City Council kicks off 10 projects of different nature in all areas of the Villa, including the implementation of two footbridges from Artxanda to Elorrieta –which will close the route of the Green Belt and connect it to the Ría–, or the redevelopment of the main arteries of Deusto or Txurdinagasuch as Lehendakari Aguirre and Artazuriña.
There will also be a spectacular game cover for Doña CasildaNew themed and design children’s areas will be created in Bolueta and Campo Volantín, and the landscape will be improved in Etxebarri Park, where a scrubland and an artificial lake will be built. All this for a value of more than €23 million
This was presented this morning by the mayor Juan Mari Aburto and the alderman for Works, Urbanism and Strategic Projects Asier Abaunza “We’re talking about projects in neighborhoods, neighborhoods in all neighborhoods of the city, that will be important to the residents of those environments because they will have an impact on improving their quality of life, but that because of their size and impact, it will tractors are also and they will attract attention, I have no doubt about that, because they are undoubtedly urban projects,” the mayor noted.
Likewise, three projects will be tackled in the coming months to remove architectural barriers. First of all, and recently presented, the two new lifts between Solokoetxe and Casco Viejo will be put out to tender this week.
