The Ministers of Health and Finance, Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunakresigned on Tuesday, respectively, after losing confidence in British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
“It has been a privilege to be asked to return to government to serve as Minister of Health and Social Care at such a critical time for our country,” Javid wrote in a letter to Johnson, questioning the government’s decision. vote of confidence he had to face last month.

Sunak, for his part, has done the same as he considers that Johnson is not living up to the standards of conduct expected of a British Prime Minister, following the latest scandal involving the Christmas parties at No. 10 Downing Street amid a pandemic.
The public rightly expects government to be properly, competently and seriously run.
I recognize that this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.

The Leader of the Opposition in the United Kingdom, the Labor Party Keir Starmerhas assured that the Johnson administration will “collapse” after the ministers resign.
“Obviously this government is collapsing. The ‘Tory’ ministers knew who the prime minister was from the start. They have been their cheerleaders throughout this unfortunate saga,” Starmer said in a statement to British media.
For Labour, the ministers were “his henchmen every step of the way because he had dishonored his position and ripped off the country. If they had an ounce of integrity they would have left months ago.”
