A mandatory test could also apply to events with more than 500 participants and the summer camps for children that are currently taking place. A decision is likely to be made on Thursday. Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) meets again with his tried-and-true panel of experts.
The city is already taking action
Due to the high demand for corona booster vaccinations, the existing range is already being expanded massively. The mayor of Vienna previously appealed to the federal government that it is now time to start a vaccination campaign for next fall.
Just ten days ago, the city of Vienna released the fourth stitch for anyone aged twelve and over. Contact tracing to trace infection chains is also being stepped up again. 120 new employees are being sought – reported the “Krone”.
In the office of the alderman for Health Hacker (SPÖ) one refers to the office of the mayor. There, on a “Krone” request, they are told that Ludwig will again consult with his group of experts and the medical crisis team about the current corona situation on Thursday morning, and only then will any steps be announced.
