Due to a threat situation in Duisburg, all secondary and extensive schools in the German city will be closed on Monday. The police said that a letter with “threatening and right -wing radical statements” had already been received by a school management on Friday.
The unknown sender announced crimes on Monday. On Sunday, the same school again received a letter with imminent content, which also finds 13 other schools in the urban area.
Previous measures taken
“As part of the general view of the current facts, experts from the Duisburg State Security assessed that there is no seriousness of the announced actions,” the police said.
Nevertheless, precautions were taken. After internal consultation, the district government took the decision to suspend the presence lessons at the schools involved today, the police wrote.
Lessons in distance format
Some schools informed on their website about the threat situation and the failure of the presentation lesson. Instead there will be lessons in distance format, said it.
