A huge dark cloud of smoke floated over Paris on Monday evening (see photo above) and scared some residents. Because the fire brigade called to avoid the area and be careful. Dozens of emergency services had to fight a major fire in a recycling company on the edge of the metropolis.
The fire broke out on the deep floor of the company. According to the police, none of the employees were injured. The City Highway that passes directly past the company must be blocked in both directions. So far there is no information about the cause of the fire. The fire brigade was very quickly on the spot, but the fire broke out in the waste bunker was so violent that the entire building went up in flames, said district mayor Geoffroy Boulard.
The fire brigade was used with around 60 fire trucks and 200 forces. Above all, it must be prevented from spreading the huge flames to adjacent buildings.
Fire near a number of public buildings
In the recycling company, plastic and paper waste are used by around 900,000 inhabitants from Paris and the surrounding area. The recycling company is located in the immediate vicinity of various public buildings, including the Paris Palace of Justice.
