With regard to the last quarter of 2024, GDP growth is 0.6 % and employment in 0.4 %.
The gross domestic product (GDP) of Euskadi rose in the first quarter of 2025 2 % compared to the same quarter of the previous year and employment has grown 1.5 %, according to estimates of the progress of Eustat’s three -month economic accounts.
With regard to the fourth quarter of the previous year, the increase in the gross domestic product of the Basque autonomous community is 0.6 %.
The business economic information that is available at the time of elaboration of this progress indicates that growth observed this first quarter of the year is based on an interanual improvement in industry and, in particular of construction, as Eustat has noticed.
Employment, measured as fully equivalent jobs, has risen by 1.5 %annually, which means creating more than 14,000 jobs. With regard to the previous quarter, the estimated growth is 0.4 %.
