Almost three -quarters of the Austrians are whole or rather negative. Many doubts that he can adhere to his election promises. However, his migration policy is mainly understood.
The results of a mood barometer from the Gallup Survey Institute in Gallup are now clearly reflected that people in this country can win little. “Our research shows that the citizens are waiting: on the inside of political leadership clarity, caution and stability – especially in difficult times. Trump does not meet these expectations, but leads to uncertainty,” was quoted in a broadcast, the head of the Austrian Gallup Institute.
Two of the three respondents believe that Trump’s presidency no longer makes “great”, but the states would rather damage, as Pompeus. 39 percent of the Austrian population finally agreed with the explanation that Trump has good ideas in principle, but implement them too radically. When it comes to reducing bureaucracy among the US authorities, there is a split opinion: 45 percent of the respondents consider this measure to be useful, but almost as many (44 percent) are critical.
Import dumplings did not give him a favor
The respondents respond considerably to other plans and decisions of Trump: 80 percent have no insight into the relaxation of labor law in the United States, 75 percent for measures for education policy, such as the abolition of the Ministry of Education. The dismissal of international organizations such as the WHO (71 percent) or the introduction of higher import duties (70 percent) is critical in the same way. The increased promotion of fossil fuels and the restrictions for US federal judges reject 68 percent.
The Gallup Tuning Barometer reflects the opinions of the population on various topics. Institutions, hope and worries about economic and sociopolitical topics and media behavior are requested. The survey was conducted between 1 and 8 April 2025.
