ÖVP and FPö are now going in Lower Austria: they have put together a law package against radical Islam. Those who do not integrate will be punished hard in the future.
The Staatscoalition has now put its action plan against radical Islam in laws. The State parliament must vote on 30 April. The two club drivers Jochen Deanninger (ÖVP) and Reinhard Teufel (FPö) have specified the line: “There is no place in Lower Austria for more integration. We are and will remain uncompromising!”
Increased penalties
In that sense, five state laws are changed. It is already planned in kindergarten. “Because there the foundation is laid how we live together as a community,” De Danninger emphasizes: “Respect, decency and manners must be a matter of natural for immigrants.” That is why the parents’ obligation to work together in kindergarten is granted. In the case of violations, there will be difficult consequences in the future: “Up to 2500 euros fine or six weeks of replacement prison,” says Deanninger.
Red card
But you also want to show a lead against Islamists in the government district. A Burqa ban in the State Service is legally anchored. “We show the red card on radical Islam, stop the image of the underground women,” said Reinhard Teufel, the second architect of the law. He now demands reactions from the federal government: “The federal government must urgently take into account a ban on political Islam.”
Sharp words
The party leaders of the state coalition also find sharp words: “Radical Islam is the greatest threat to live for our way,” emphasizes Johanna Mikl-Leitner (ÖVP). That is why all legal possibilities are drawn to “dry the Islamic swamps”. And Udo Landbauer (FPö) indicates: “We end the years of looking away and talking. If you take our values with your feet, you must feel consequences!”
In that sense, values such as humanity and dedication to traditions are now laid down in the constitution of the state.
