Lodging flames in Vienna-Floridsdorf: A burning car caused a large-scale operation in Schwaigerergasse on Sunday morning. A Burst petrol tank and the leaked fuel water mixture also made use more difficult. The cause may have been a birthday cake.
When the Vienna Professional Fire Brigade arrived around 10.40 am with five vehicles, the vehicle was already in full fire. The fire was fought with two extinguishing lines at the same time before the car could finally be extinguished with fire foam.
CAKEKOAS in the back seat
According to information from the “Kroon”, a cake with a burning candle may have activated the fire. The driver had eliminated him in the back seat and apparently had forgotten to put the candle out.
Emergency Services Save Channel
The fully filled petrol tank burst through the fire, the waterpetrol mixture spread over a length of approximately 100 meters. To prevent the penetration of gasoline into the waste water, the emergency services have temporarily covered a channel inlet and tied the liquid with binder.
The Magistrate Department 48 (Mon 48) then took over the cleaning of the road, while the damaged car was removed with a pitching vehicle from the Vienna Professional Fire Brigade due to sharp sheet metal parts.
