For a long time, shooting at training in the schools of Poland was voluntary, now it is mandatory. This is officially called “security education” education. So also in the city of Ilza (15,000 inhabitants), south of Warsaw. During a local inspection of the German ‘Bild’ newspaper, soldiers from the Polish army learn the students of high school and the correct treatment of standard weapons (Assault Rifles, Pistols). The goal is to win offspring for the army.

Student: “Preparation for the war”
“I need this lesson because I want to become a soldier later,” a 15-year-old student revealed. Her 15-year-old classmate added: “This must be done in every school. It is a preparation for war. We all don’t know what is coming.”

The training brought great added value, emphasized the responsible teacher: “I think it’s a good idea. Because we live in uncertain times. So we have to prepare,” she said, adding: “The situation of the world is as it is.” Schools therefore gradually build up classes, additional teachers are included. The government justifies that the whole of Poland must be defensive.

Putin endangered Europe over and over again
Russian President Vladimir Putin has even repeatedly threatened since the attack on Ukraine, further to Western Europe, to restore the sphere of influence of the old Soviet Union. Many posts, whose country is often shared and occupied, take such announcements very seriously.

Poland under President Donald Tusk Upgrade has been his army for years. Poland recently bought dozens of American fighting helicopters and received new tanks from South Korea. Poland invests almost four percent of his gross domestic product in defense. The NATO country continues to develop into the strongest combat troops in Europe. In November 2024, Poland sent some combat tanks to the Russian Kaliningrad -border.
