At the age of only 16, Max is confronted with a lateral thinker demo in Saxony-Anhalt and touches the heart of the stage in the middle of the heart. His courageous speech goes viral in social networks and puts a strong sign against agitation, historical impressions and right -wing activities.
“You’re not Sophie Scholl!” With these words, 16-year-old Max turns to the participants of a lateral Thinker demo in his hometown in East German Saxony-Anhalt. On the “open microphone”, which stands for the freedom of expression that the participants requires, the student wants to set a clear sign against the distribution of society.
“I’m not here to please”
Since Max shared the video of his rally on Monday evening, the video has been viral on social networks. For five years, the protesters were demonstrated every Monday, as he tells Krone. Even the police would not have been neutral. Instead, they would have torn jokes with the demonstrators. It bothered him that the demos would not encounter headwind – so he intended to stand up for his opinion.
At that time, at the start of Pandemiege five years ago, hundreds of demonstrators in the small city had regularly met each other, says the 16-year-old student. Nowadays there are only about 30 participants, the residents would hardly pay attention to the hugkoppers. “I am not here to please. I have a very different opinion than them all. I am here because I personally – and be careful, trigger word – an anti -fascist,” he starts his speech in the direction of the group.
With the “open microphone” of the demo, Max speaks to the lateral thinkers:
Johlende laughter and subjects
As a student of a tenth class, he learned how dangerous it is when “history is played”. But that is exactly what he sees there every day. He reads his prepared speech from his cell phone and always looks in the crowd. This responds partly with Joasting Gelache and interim topics. In any case, Max seems calm from the outside: “Yes, other opinions hurt,” he replies.
He also speaks of “freedom of expression” – a word whose interest has experienced a questionable distortion by the lateral thinkers’ scene. Because there would be no opinion, but “agitation”. He has had enough of how the demonstrators represent themselves as a “freedom fighter” while they would march “side by side” with fascists, he actually argues. He regrets their loss of reality, because although the Intensive Care would have been overcrowded, participants compared the mandatory FFP2 mask that would have been compared “with a dictatorship”. “Everyone who compares a peak with a concentration camp (comment, note) has less protection on their heads than in the face,” he emphasizes.
Facts would be what the movement would “cancel”. He mentions the series of argumentative contradictions, in those lateral thinkers. In a public telegram channel in the region you share your opinion public-the channel is freely accessible to each person. Max occasionally investigated what is shared in the “Echo Chambers”.
He also records the subject in his speech: “You reject Western media, but quote Russian propaganda. Name to Friedenensfreunde, but celebrates a dictator who bombed the Ukrainian houses”. And further: “If you dig deeper into your worldview, Göbbels will come to you at some point.”
Max: have lost “thinking” in “Transversal thinking”
Max knows that her speech was not harmless. Fascism does not start with the first shot, but with the first trivialization. He acknowledges when people started to rewrite history. For him, neutrality on the side of the perpetrators means standing in times of hatred. Because: if one could no longer distinguish in the speeches of the lateral thinkers, whether they come from an opponent or a neo -Nazi, they would finally have lost “thinking” in “Transversal thinking”.
By Wednesday evening, the video alone was called about 765,000 times and loved almost 12,000 times. Max not only remains active on Street-the 16-year-old has also been involved in party politics for two years. “You have to do something like this in times,” he said Krone. “Society is divided, I see that here in the East German small town, in which 44 percent of people mainly choose the AfD,” he emphasizes. His speech is a strong sign – in a region where the AfD is classified as a right -wing extremist profit by constitutional protection.
