RESCUE WITH A WORT BAG – Two Villacher slid into the Drau over a slope

A spectacular rescue operation was successful shortly after 1 o’clock in the morning in Villach in Carinthia: a woman had fallen into the Drau, a man slid over the dike when he tried to save.

On Thursday shortly after 1 hour, a 37-year-old slipped in the Drauläge area in Villach and fell into the Drau. A 53-year-old came to the rescue, slipped on the steep dike and even in the Drau, which only had eleven degrees.

The two could still stick to the bushes. The power was then strong.

First police officers could save the two incorrect people through a casting bag. A casting bag is a rescue device that is thrown into the aniling and is connected to the savior with a rope. The person in the water can grab the bag and pull the coast.

The woman and the man were taken to the LKH Villach after their salvation.
