Tracker, Cameras & Co. – How employees are monitored by their bosses

Data protection and personal rights are taken seriously in Austria, but there are always reports of attacked surveillance about the workplace, such as cameras, GPS trackers and biometric handprints. Krone+ tells you what is allowed and what is not.

There are companies in which the boss fully monitored his employees with software. Screenshots of screens, for example, are made at regular intervals, keyboard input is recorded whether the use of individual programs and websites is included. Presumably this should increase productivity. Only stupid if all this data collected by a Lekland that is accessible to everyone – this is how the “WorkComposer” software is recently used in numerous companies worldwide.
