The Austrians completed approximately a dozen elections in the Super -election year 2024 and the first four months of 2025. It was chosen at all levels – National, Regional and Municipal. These many urns have colored the political landscape, raised a number of surprises, but also showed constants.
The last major battle took place in the capital and again confirmed Vienna as a red fort. After the successful years under Sebastian Kurz, the ÖVP continued its bankruptcy series, as with almost all urns in this super election year. With a minus of 10.8 percentage points, the People’s Party received the biggest loss in an election of Vienna and crashed in fifth place. It only has 9.7 percent in federal capital.
