A trip to the picturesque Bohemian Switzerland ended in the weekend for two German tourists with a dramatic incident. During a sudden thunderstorm in the Tyssa walls, the walkers were hit by lightning when they were looking for protection under a tree.
According to the Czech Mountain Rescue Service, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon between the cities of Tisá and Rájec in the SO -Called Tyssa wall -about 40 minutes by car of Dresden.
Couple discovered strongly disoriented by hikers
Apparently the couple had tried to look for protection under a tree during a sudden thunderstorm. A flash got her close.
After the impact, the two strongly disoriented hikers were discovered by another group of German tourists and brought to the nearby “U Křížku” (“Am Cross”). There they immediately warned rescue workers.
Severe pain and visual disruptions
As Miroslav Račko, the head of the Regional Mountain Rescue Service, announced, the first study was found in both wounded burns in the breast area. Fire holes in the clothing took the lightning strike. The man in particular complained about severe face pain and visual disturbances in one eye.
The two patients were brought to ústí NAD Labem for further treatment with two ambulances to the hospital about 15 kilometers away. According to a spokesperson for the emergency services, one of the affected people suffered serious and moderately serious injury.
