Soldiers buried – rap video fuss in Trieste cemetery

Date:

Outrage in Italy: Two rappers recorded a video at the Austro-Hungarian military cemetery near Trieste. The boys sang about drug use and prostitution.

The rappers duo “Depra ft. Senx” chose the cemetery where in 1934 Austro-Hungarian soldiers who fell during the great war between Monfalcone and Monte Ermada were buried. Themes of the song: drugs and prostitution.

Senator: ‘Memorial sites no podium’
The population is outraged by the recording and demands a punishment for the two musicians. Tatjana Rojc, senator from Trieste, also noted: “Our country’s memorials are not a stage for weird performances. It is outrageous to advertise in a cemetery where the remains of hundreds of innocent young soldiers who fought on one of the bloodiest and tragic fronts of the First World War.”

The Aurisina Austro-Hungarian Cemetery is in very good condition to this day. The young fire brigade of Upper Austria (1974-75) and then the association of the Austrian Black Cross (1993, 1996, 2010 and 2012) played a key role in care.
