On Friday afternoon, there were tumultuous scenes during a boarding process at Bodensee Airport in Friedrichshafen, which is also very popular with travelers from Vorarlberg. Reason: A flight of the low-cost airline Wizz Air from Friedrichshafen to the Albanian capital Tirana was massively overbooked.
According to the current state of knowledge of the German police, 209 passengers were booked on the flight, but only 186 seats were available. When the outraged passengers loudly expressed their displeasure, they had to be sent back from the check-in counter several times by customs and police.
Intense Conversations
The situation only calmed down after intensive consultation with the passengers. The plane eventually left for Albania with almost two hours delay. It is not known how many passengers ended up without the flight.
