A serious car accident took place on Thursday afternoon in the Bleiburg area in Carinthia. When he turned to Lippitzbacher Straße, a 26-year-old looked over the head of a 45-year-old who had no chance to avoid a collision.
Together with her 16-year-old daughter, the 45-year-old rode from the Völkermarkt district on Lippitzbacher Strasse between Bleiburg and Ruden. Suddenly a car was on the road for her. A 26-year-old, also from the Völkermarkt district, was used to the B80A from the Municipal Road from Rigenberger. “For an unknown cause, he should not have noticed the approaching car,” the police explain.
So the two cars crashed on top of each other on the 45-year-old intersections were thrown into a field by the power of the impact. “The woman was trapped in the vehicle and was seriously injured. She had to cut it off with heavy equipment,” said the police.
Her daughter, the 26-year-old and his 45-year-old passenger were also injured during the accident. While these three injuries were transported to the Klagenfurt clinic with the emergency services, the seriously injured 45-year-old had to be flown by the C11 Rescue Helicopter to the UKH Klagenfurt.
“The B80A was closed for about two hours for all traffic,” the police also report. “The FF Rigenberg, Bleiburg, St. Michael Ob Bleiburg and Ruden with 50 emergency services were in action.”
