The aging roof of an apartment building in Linz is being renovated and must be green. The promotion aid for employees, however, leads directly beyond the windows and balconies of some tenants. They are now very worried and are afraid of burglars.
“It makes it easy to enter burglars with us,” says Siegfried T. (85). The reason: for the rental house in Linzer Ramsauerstrasse, in which he lives, the roof is renovated. However, the scaffolding on which the employees come was set up for the apartments of some tenants. The stairs of the scanders are close to the balconies. With a little skill you can easily climb there.
No privacy
“A woman lives with her three daughters in an apartment. She can no longer sleep because she is afraid. And the workers must always pass by. This is not very pleasant,” fears Siegfried T. and the other tenants for their safety and also about their privacy. What the Linzer does not understand: “Next to us two more houses were renovated. The jetty was placed on the front where there are no windows.” The houses on Ramsauerstrasse are among the WAG.
Other solution is not possible
The “Kroon” asked if you can’t change anything about the situation on the spot. “The placement in the current position is due to the requirements of an efficient workflow in the course of the roofing. An alternative location on the opposite construction side was checked in advance, but turned out to be poor or not suitable,” says the WAG.
Grids must now keep unanswered visitors
But take the worries and fears for the tenants very seriously. That is why a closure of the closed construction was set up around access to the scaffolding. In addition, the construction company and the tenants will jointly develop and implement improvement measures. Additional solutions for privacy protection to maintain privacy and additional security measures are conceivable.
