Successor of Chalupka – Evangelical Church chooses the first bishop

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Austria is expected to choose his first bishop on Friday. Cornelia Richter (54) is planned as the successor of Bishop Michael Chalupka, who will retire at the end of this year. Richter works on a voluntary basis as a pastor.

Born in Upper Austria, she was born on September 3, 1970 and was the first dean from 2020 to 2024 the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Bonn. Today she learns theology there.
