This holiday experience will not soon forget a family from Britain: when they wanted to anchor with a sailboat in the Croatian bay of Prionja, a man came up and insulted the family of three loudly. He threatened to kill them and threw stones behind them.
“He damaged the boat,” the family said. According to a report from the Kleine Zeitung, the incident took place on Saturday around 4 p.m. The Croatian came out of his house on the coast and started screaming and threatening, the police said. When he threw stones on the family, the hull and the navigation device of the sailboat were destroyed. The damage is several thousand euros.
Family traveled again
The holiday family cleared the anchor immediately after the incident. The charter company, from which the boat was borrowed, then informed the police. This confirmed that they have started investigations into dangerous threats and material damage – against the previously unknown perpetrator. The incident was recorded on video.

Fishnet as a trigger
According to the report, a shocked fish network in the bay would have led to the freak from the Croatian. He was afraid that the anchor of the boat would be destroyed, it is said. However, fishermenets are usually ejected at night and obtained again in the morning. It was initially not known why this network stayed in the sea for longer. The police received the advertisement on Saturday around 5 p.m.
