Sea lions in panic swimmers in San Diego

Date:

San Diego in the American “Sunshine State” California is known for its beautiful, seemingly endless beaches. Sunbathers usually share the area in harmony and peace with the resident sea lions. But when there are territorial battles between the animals, many two-legged friends have to flee quickly.

This is what happened on a lovely bathing day, when countless swimmers romped on the beach. It is unclear whether two sea lions got into an argument because of the crowds. In any case, the animals were fighting a fierce territory battle (see video above).

The wild hunt of the otherwise rather slow sea lions caused panic among many beach visitors. They fled from the animals.

The competitor of the “top dog” also quickly fled. No injuries were reported.
