On Thursday, the Georgian in Vienna stands for the Schöffenssenat, who is said to have seriously injured a 59-year-old in a necklift on 11 February in a rented apartment in Vienna. The woman had to be operated on and intensive medicine.
At 2.15 pm the now accused 35-year-old created the scalpel in the neck of Elisabeth G. (name changed). He made a few three to seven centimeters long cuts in the field of the ears and chin. As a result, there were massive swelling and bleeding in the neck area, which caused serious breathing problems in the victim. At 5:49 PM the woman’s sister called the salvation, followed by an emergency operation and a stay in the intensive care in the Vienna Akh.
The crime scene is apparently illegally rented for cosmetic surgery in Wassergasse in Vienna-Landstrasse. There the 59-year-old wanted to undergo a neck lift for 1600 euros.
A respected doctor in Georgia
After provisional conversations in October 2024 with an (alleged) Georgian Doctor who was director of a clinic there, a date of February was established. Shortly before, the woman was told that she would exploit another doctor – the now accused of Zurab K., to whom the public prosecutor of Vienna deliberately accuses a serious attack. The man, represented by Philipp Wolm and Gerhard Jarosch, is a respected doctor in Georgia, but has no reason to perform work in Austria.
The suspect states that he was actually planning to recruit customers in Austria, but then carry out the interventions in Georgia. He also pointed to the woman, but then carried out the agreed “Mini Face Lift” in Vienna. According to the indictment, the accused indicates that he had already done 200 to 250 of such interventions.
In English he wants to inform the woman about the risks of the operation. According to Sta Vienna, the lighting was insufficient. The anesthesia was also too easy. Neither venous access was laid for emergency situations, nor was there equipment for emergency ventilation.
Authority suspects international criminal network
The public prosecutor assumes that the doctor is part of an internationally acting criminal network: “The suspect convinced himself fundamentally to perform the intervention, but was careful to meet potential compliciters, other people involved and to organize the illegal operations,” says the eleventh charge.
On Thursday, the Georgian must be responsible for criminal cases for a lay court in the regional court of Vienna. He threatens one to ten years in prison.
