The management of the Mercedes de Vitoria factory has reached a preliminary agreement to extend the agreement with the majority of the works council -UGT, CCOO, Ekintza and PIM- which includes salary improvements from 2021 to 2026, but which has not been signed by ELA , LAB and ESK and unions that basically maintain the strikes called from tomorrow until Friday.
Union sources have confirmed that the agreement includes a non-cumulative payment of 4,000 euros gross, corresponding to 2021, a 6% salary increase this year and 2.25% increases from 2023 to 2026, as well as other economic and organizational improvements.
ELA, LAB and ESK oppose this offer because it does not include pay increases equal to the IPC, so for now they maintain their intention to support strikes tomorrow, Thursday and Friday of this week, although the three plants will meet to analyze the next one. . to take steps.
Negotiations concluded with this preliminary agreement have lasted nearly nine hours and the terms will be put to a referendum by the entire workforce next Monday the 18th.
The preliminary agreement also proposes the retirement of more than 250 people through shelter contracts, for those operators who meet the current legal conditions. As well as the conversion of 400 temporary contracts into open-ended contracts, 150 of which upon signature of the contract.
In addition, payments are collected based on targets; if the production of 200,000 vehicles per year is exceeded, 500 euros will be awarded; and a profit distribution of 2,250 euros per year based on indicators.
