A walking trip ended with injuries for a few that was on an Alpine Wei in Saints’ Blut in Carinthia with their German Shepherd. The cows that graze there, scared the dog and his owners and attacked.
A few from Upper Austria wanted to use Pentecost on Sunday for a walk in Saintsblut. In the afternoon at 3.40 pm the couple walked off the valley with their white shepherd on an Alpine path of the Leigenbach -Waterval. But what started as a relaxed walk suddenly developed into an exceptional situation.
“At an altitude of approximately 1590 meters above sea level, in the so -called Bruchetalm, the two cows came across with their dog,” officials from the police station of Saintsblut report.
Cows stormed to the dog
The animals apparently scared the presence of the dog and panicked. The cows rushed to the walkers and specifically attacked the short belt. The 40-year-old man instinctively let go, so that the German shepherd could run away.
But now the couple stood between the cows and the dog. The two walkers were bumped through the cows with their heads and horns. Only when a car drove past a car on the Grindweg along the cows did the cows let the two finished.
The 40-year-old and his 44-year-old partner were somewhat injured in the attack. The dog was unharmed and could be caught a short time later.
Walkers must pay better attention to drawing
Time and again there are such attacks by cows that are afraid and people attack. A recent judgment ensures that Alpine Farmers listen. Walkers must pay better attention to information marks and, if in doubt, let the cow continue in order not to risk a collision.
