Countless fire brigades in the Mur Valley had to move from Tuesday to Wednesday. For an unknown case, a fire broke out in a farm building in the styric community of Kobenz. Two calves can still be saved alive.
On Tuesday evening around 10 p.m. the fire broke out in the farm building, which was used as a stable for cattle and as a goody. The Brigades Kobenz, Feistritz, Knittelfeld, Apfelberg, Seckau, St. Lorenzen, St. Marein, St. Margarethen, the Red Cross and the police arrived on stage within a few minutes after the emergency call.
“Meter -High flames and dense smokers touched the 122 firefighters and firefighters during the trip,” says operating manager Werner Holzer. The purpose of the emergency services was to prevent the flames from crossing to the adjacent residential building.
Two dead cows were discovered in the course of the extinguishing work. During the further procedure, however, two calves could be saved alive from the stable.
Too little deaf water on the site
Because there was too little water available on the site, the living work traffic was set up with the tank fire weather cars. A total of approximately 100,000 liters of fire water had to be brought to the site. In addition to home -working traffic, a supply line for the extinguishing water had to be laid from about a kilometer to the site.
Boer (84) taken to the hospital
As a precaution, the 84-year-old farmer was taken by the Red Cross to the LKH Knittelfeld. According to the initial knowledge, a lightning strike may have activated the fire. Until the early hours of the morning, 122 fire brigades fought successfully against the flames.
