A storm front moved loudly on Sunday afternoon via Tyrol. Wind and rain caused some fire brigademissions, larger damage or even injuries caused by the fallen trees and flooded cellars. There was a power failure in the lowlands.
From the afternoon the Stormfront moved from West to East about Tyrol. While the Tyrol Control Center told the “Krone”, they were around 45 missions until 6.30 pm, “Most of them in the District Innsbruck country”.
A spectacular incident in Baumkirchen took a glimpse -like outcome, where a tree fell on the roof of a residential building. According to the police, the building was not confirmed and there were no injuries. The fire brigade took over the removal of the tree.
Trees dived on the street
Other cases trees caused roadblocks, for example on Götzer Straße or in St. Johann. Also in Aschau in the Zillertal a tree laid the Staatsweg in the industrial area.
In the early evening the thunderstorms were largely over, according to the control center, one must wait and see if a front would come from the west in the course of the evening.
