Mobile phone seized – young bully (16) threatened police officers

Nothing works without a cell phone. A youngster in St. Pölten must have thought that. So he asked the police to hand over his confiscated phone. The situation escalated: now the 16-year-old was on trial for dangerous threats and resistance to state authority.

A life without a mobile phone is unimaginable for many young people today. For example, a 16-year-old in St. Pölten did not want to accept the seizure of his mobile phone by the police so easily. So he went to the police station and promptly asked the officers to hand over his phone. The mobile phone was seized as part of another criminal case. However, after his request received little attention and was unequivocally rejected, the youngster finally gave up.

With wild rants and clenched fists, he threatened to hit a police officer. Because of his aggressive behavior he was eventually arrested – with fierce resistance. Now the 16-year-old had to answer to the regional court of St. Pölten for dangerous threats and resistance to state authority. “He took a fighting stance and was extremely aggressive,” an official said at the trial. “It just happened to me,” said the suspect. Finally, the teenager confessed – guilty verdict!
