The public prosecutor’s office in Linz is investigating district captain Bernhard Gratz and other persons not yet known by name on suspicion of abuse of office, according to a letter from the public prosecutor’s office.
After the Economic and Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA) declared itself not responsible and saw no initial suspicion, the Linz prosecutor’s office is now investigating District Governor Bernhard Gratz “as chairman of the Pinzgau real estate commission, in particular in connection with insufficiently registered and documented administrative procedures by the real estate authorities, violating the law of the statutory judge by an incorrectly composed decision and not carrying out the planned tests and not taking expert advice”.
Very dubious land sale
The “Krone” has reported extensively in recent weeks about several very dubious real estate sales in Pinzgau. For example, Piesendorf farmer Peter Höller sold a 1.5 hectare pasture through a lawyer in 2003. The lawyer’s partner now owns the area. She is not a farmer. This would be required by law. The authorities nevertheless approved the sale.
The SPÖ has started the ongoing investigations of the public prosecutor’s office.
