Rauba alarm on Friday morning in the Vienna Seestadt: a group of seven young people started a 14-year-old boy who had hit him, threatened him with Pepperspray and robbed him of 100 euros from his shoulder bag.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack, but the brave boy immediately warned the police. Thanks to a large contingent of civil servants from the Donaustadt City Police Command and the standby unit of Vienna, several suspects could be placed near the Seestadt Promenade shortly thereafter.
Suspect quickly
Three young people aged 14, 15 and 16 – all Syrian citizens – were clearly recognized by the victim and various witnesses and arrested on the site. But that’s not all …
A 20-year-old Syrian who stayed with the group was a particularly explosive case when checking: according to the Vienna police, there was already an arrest warrant against him due to an earlier serious robbery. When the officers wanted to arrest him, the situation completely escalated.
Civil servants beat each other to the hospital
The 20-year-old tried to flee, threatened the police officers with death and eventually got rid of them with stairs and strokes. Two officials were injured and had to be taken to the hospital by the career rescue from Vienna.
The aggressive man was arrested and is now in a prison. Among other things, it is reported for resistance to state power and serious physical injury.
The three small suspects were also reported for suspected robbery. The Criminal Police Office van Vienna has now taken over further investigation.
