With various explosions in a battery plant in Spain, a toxic cloud has been released. Approximately 60,000 inhabitants were called to stay in their homes to the northeast of Madrid. The cause of the explosions is still unclear.

The inhabitants of the places of Azuqueca de Henares, Cabanillas del Campo and Alovera received a warning on their mobile phones not to leave their homes, close windows and doors and park climate systems. The state of TV broadcaster RTVE spoke about a system for recycling lithium batteries.

Video -recordings were shown on the internet, which showed a huge dark cloud of smoke over the burning complex in an industrial area of ​​Azuqueca de Henares about 50 kilometers from Madrid. Initially there were no reports about possible injuries in the company or in the area. The cause of the accident was also unknown.
