Opposite the Salzburg police school at the main station, the police broke out during an arrest. A passerby found a joint and the interrogation file.
The woman had discovered several pages of the nude scattered across the asphalt on Weiserstrasse. One of the notes had a plastic bag on it – inside it was: a joint! The woman collected the suspect’s documents, including sensitive data, and then entered the police academy, which is located opposite the property.
At first there was helplessness in the training center. The police officers present explained that the police academy was not responsible for this, but that the documents would be passed on.
Police regret incident
Hans Wolfgruber, spokesman for the Salzburg State Police Headquarters, explains. Apparently the outage happened during an arrest. The officials responsible only noticed it at the police station. When they returned to the accident site, the documents could not be found. The malfunction must have no further consequences. “Where people work, mistakes happen. We regret that!” said Wolfgruber.
