Who does this? In the Innviertel in Upper Austria, a hunter killed a small fox with a kick. And the shocking scenes were also filmed and photographed.
There are disturbing images and a video that leaked to the “Krone” on Monday. You can see a noisy round of Innviertler fighters already celebrating the shooting of a roebuck in Geinberg on June 3, as the “Krone” research has shown. But you can also see a dog (apparently a hunter’s) bite and shake a young fox in a room. The hunters watch, film the scene on their cell phones, then climb on the predator’s head and kill it.
statement of facts
It is not clear who recorded the video. It is clear that the photos and a description of the facts of the incident were sent to the prosecutor’s office, the Braunau district administration, the state hunting association and the police.
The “Krone” spoke with the director of the state hunting association, Christopher Böck. “Of course you shouldn’t do that. That’s not hunting. That can and must be solved differently,” he says. “I don’t know anything about the circumstances yet. It was probably the case that the lost young fox was lost in the building and the dog saw him and immediately bit him,” says Böck.
“You do not do that”
It is then very common for the animal to be delivered. Dogs shake their prey to death, apparently they wanted to prevent that. Whether you should do it with a kick to the head, as in the present case, is an open question for Böck. He doesn’t understand why the entire incident is being filmed: “You just don’t do that,” he says clearly.
No investigation by the public prosecutor
At the request of the “Krone”, the public prosecutor in Ried said that the proceedings against the fighter involved had already been discontinued. It is said that nothing criminally relevant has been found.
