A supermarket in Wien-Landstrasse burned down on Sunday morning. As the fire service reported, flames shot through a shattered shop window. The smoke caused heavy smoke development on the affected road section on Rennweg. Some residents fled their homes on their own and firefighters were able to get a woman to safety.
Respiratory protection teams fought the band in external and internal attacks. At the same time, the professional fire brigade checked the stairwell and the apartments above the business premises, part of which had to be opened by force. At the same time, the stairwell was pressurized with powerful ventilation equipment.
Fortunately, there were no injuries in the fire, the Vienna State Investigation Service has taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.
