It was probably “a b’soffene G’schicht”: A 30-year-old court officer threatened police officers with an operation in Innsbruck without any ground with legal consequences. She now has to bear the consequences herself: she lost her job and her apartment and is now convicted of attempted abuse of power and attempted coercion.
On February 20, in front of a nightclub in Innsbruck: the police intervened in a fight. Involved: a casual acquaintance of the suspect. The officers take his personal details – suddenly the 30-year-old is “standing in front of me with her back to me, talking to her acquaintance and holding out her keys with the court card,” one of the police officers says.
Threatened with consequences
She would then have threatened legal consequences if the official act was not stopped. “I was bloated. When I said she was interfering in an official act, she said, “Dude, what’s wrong with you?!” I knew then she wasn’t a judge or anything,” says the young man.
Now the young woman is on trial – at her former workplace. Even before the trial, the employee of the civil department was fired.
Four months probation, 1800 euros fine
She is terribly sorry for everything, she bursts into tears, says she can’t remember anything and is convinced: “Someone put something in my drink.”
No final sentence: four months probation, 1800 euros fine. The judge: “It would be terrible if it worked in Austria if someone from justice came and the police told the police not to.”
