The Tyrolean police are looking for an animal abuser. The man deliberately drove his car over a red tiger cat on his way from Rum to Innsbruck in the Arzl district on Friday. Police are now looking for witnesses and the pet’s owner.
The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. The still unknown driver drove the car, a black Citroën Picasso, on the L8 from Rum towards Innsbruck. Suddenly the tiger cat crossed the road. “Then the driver should have steered the vehicle into the oncoming lane and deliberately drove over the animal,” police said.
Cat died after ten minutes
The man then drove on with a loudly roaring engine. “According to a witness, it took another ten minutes for the animal to die in the adjacent field.”
