In Wals-Siezenheim in Flachgau, firefighters rescued a baby from a locked car in the heat around 4 p.m. Monday afternoon by smashing a window. The car in the parking lot in front of a hardware store would have locked itself. The mother was outside the car.
As a first measure, the windscreen of the car was shielded from the sun’s rays with blankets and tarpaulins. The baby was in the passenger seat in the Maxi-Cosi. The car key was also there. The child would have been unharmed.
