A dangerous situation took place at the Villacher Kirchtag on Thursday evening. An incident at the “Crazy Mouse” roller coaster ended with an emergency shutdown of the ride.
Roller coaster employees responded exemplary at around 11 p.m. on Thursday. “A man from Feldkirchen, who had previously lost his cap while driving, climbed over the barrier to the danger zone to retrieve it,” reports organizer Joe Presslinger (see video above).
However, the railway was in use at the time. That this is very dangerous, the churchgoer may not have been fully aware. Fortunately, he was noticed by the ride-hailing staff, who immediately activated the emergency stop.
Rioter arrested
As a result, the carriages stopped and the 20 or so passengers had to wait on the roller coaster for nearly an hour before everything worked again. And the troublemaker? “The man behaved unreasonably and aggressively,” said Erich Londer, police chief of the Villach City Police.
He had to be arrested for his behavior and is now being reported. On the part of the organizer, however, they are happy that the incident ended lightly.
