With drugs in her luggage, a 53-year-old woman from Styria wanted to enter Austria from Slovenia on Friday evening. The woman from Leibnitz was caught during a border check at the border crossing Lavamünd. But that wasn’t the woman’s only crime.
Officials at the border crossing were astonished when they checked a Styrian woman during entry checks on Friday night. Because the police found several grams of cannabis herb on the woman. The 53-year-old confessed immediately.
Traveling with the appearance of a stranger
The driver’s license check seemed a bit strange to the officials. Because instead of the Leibnitz woman’s driver’s license, the police officers could only find a stranger’s driver’s license. The 53-year-old said she found the driver’s license two weeks ago. The note, it turned out a short time later, is from a man from the Deutschlandsberg district.
Report to the public prosecutor
Because the woman herself could not show her driver’s license, she was reported to the district authority in Wolfsberg. She will soon receive a letter from the Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office about the drugs.
