A family drama in Burgenland led to a large-scale police action on Tuesday morning. After a wild argument, a father is said to have taken up arms in the parental home and stopped his son. The suspected perpetrator is in custody.
The background to the argument between the father and his son at the family home in Loipersdorf (Oberwart district) is still unclear, but the dispute escalated. According to the first reports to the police, there was even a fear of attempted murder.
Cobra warned
“Now the circumstances need to be clarified first,” the local executive says. One thing is certain: a large contingent of police had rushed to the crime scene. The Cobra special unit was also alarmed. According to the first information, the father would have threatened his son with a gun.
