The Basque government demands that when applying the decree “the circumstances of each sector are taken into account”

Date:

Similarly, the Basque government has suggested that the plan that Pedro Sánchez’s government is sending to Europe is more likely to be compared to the Autonomous Communities.

The Basque government has meeting held this Monday between the Government of Spain and the Autonomous Communities on the application of the Decree to save energy, although it has demanded that this application “take into account the circumstances of each sector or establishment” and that the plan that Pedro Sánchez’s director Europe rather be contrasted with the CCAA.

At today’s meeting, all the Autonomous Communities have shown their willingness to comply with the decree and the Spanish government has emphasized that it will enforce it as planned.

The Basque government’s Ministry of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment has ruled that the meeting “provided an opportunity for contrast and dialogue”, despite taking place “a few hours after its entry into force and with little room for maneuver”. However, he stressed that “the participation of the Autonomous Communities is essential” given the “relevance” of the case.

In applying the decree, the Basque government warns that “it is essential” to take into account “the circumstances of each sector or establishment”.

The government of Vitoria-Gasteiz has announced that “it will continue to work on a contingency plan in accordance with the guidelines of Brussels and the relevant ministries, with the aim of accelerating energy conservation and decarbonisation of the economy”.

In addition, he has assured that he will send the Pedro Sánchez Executive “as soon as possible” the draft Euskadi emergency plan, for which the ministry has set a deadline of August 31.
