Rescue workers were initially unable to find any fatalities
As the Koblenz prosecutor reported, the victim “first began to slip in a bend in her seat before falling from a height of about eight meters off the track. She died at the scene of the accident.” Particularly tragic, rescuers initially struggled to locate the accident victim in the hard-to-reach area.

The 57-year-old’s body is now undergoing an autopsy. An expert would have to take a closer look at the roller coaster and the affected car and “examine possible causes of the accident”, as reported by “Bild”. Witnesses must also have their say.
