An unknown man, pictured here, is strongly suspected of beating and robbing a 16-year-old on the street in Vienna’s Leopoldstadt on April 22 this year. Police are now asking for information.
On the morning of April 22 at 8 a.m., there was a raid in broad daylight on Nordbahnstrasse in the Leopoldstadt district. The suspect allegedly followed a 16-year-old boy, punched him in the stomach and then stole the backpack. After the robbery, the perpetrator is said to have fled in the direction of the Praterstern.
Police ask for information
The victim’s backpack was found in a nearby store, but there is no trace of the robber. After further investigation, the police were able to find a photo of the suspect.
