After a report in the “Krone” about the theft, the kidnappers noticed that they were not purebred cats and released the kittens on the Flattnitz (Carinthia).
The kittens stolen from a garden in Lieserbrücke are back home! “What the little ones must have been through!” Petra Unterwalcher is shocked, but at the same time happy to have her beloved kittens back. According to the “Krone” article, the thieves may have noticed that they had not captured any pedigree cats. So they just released the animals at a hut on the Flattnitz, about 100 kilometers from Lieserbrücke.
Fortunately, the circumstances have resulted in the kittens being back home. The cabin owner looked after the little ones, but didn’t know they had been stolen. “An acquaintance then found out, who knew about the theft from the newspaper and called me,” says the cat owner.
“Of course we went straight to Flattnitz. ‘Lilo’ immediately crept up to me. She was clearly happy to be with me again. Many thanks to the Kronen Zeitung.” A security camera is now installed in the garden.
