Innsbruck trial – Rodler threatened: three years in prison for wild drifts

Date:

A 23-year-old alcohol driver endangered a group of people in Axamer Lizum in Tyrol – according to the court even deliberately – and caused several accidents. Now the incorrigible must be behind bars.

One is probably lucky that there were no deaths! A 23-year-old Tyrolean has learned nothing from taking his driver’s license for drunkenness: “Full tank” with alcohol and THC in his blood, he and three friends would have raced in the parking lot to tobogganists and other passers-by in Axamer Lizum in January, and a dozen of them have deliberately endangered people with nocturnal urges.

The whole thing was preceded by an argument in which fists flew. “Several tobogganists did not want to let us drive past,” the accused told the Innsbruck court on Wednesday. His friend then got out and was suddenly beaten. “They also smashed a window in the car with a sled,” said the 23-year-old. They only wanted to photograph the perpetrators and therefore turned the car around again. “I purposely didn’t want to endanger anyone,” said the Alko driver. He had just slipped on the slippery road and rammed into two cars.

Another accident with serious injuries
The jury did not believe the man, who had multiple previous convictions, also built an accident with serious injuries on the “escape” and escaped on foot. He was sentenced to three years in prison. And the court was convinced that his buddy had beaten a toboggan before he got a beating himself. He now has to pay a fine of 10,800 euros for this. The two statements are not final.
