On Friday evening, a serious accident took place on the Ennstal national road in Styria, in which two people were seriously injured. The B 320 was closed for two hours due to the rescue operation.
Shortly after 5.30 pm, a 79-year-old man from Lower Austria was driving with his wife (76) on the Ennstal national road. For reasons that are still unclear, he came onto the roadside and crashed his minivan into a tree.
The vehicle came to a stop on an embankment. The two occupants were trapped in the car and had to be freed by firefighters.
Helicopter to the hospital
During the emergency medical care, it turned out that the couple had been seriously injured in the accident. They were transported to UKH Salzburg in two rescue helicopters.
Due to the complex rescue work, the B 320 was completely closed for about two hours.
