“Are you not afraid of the Ukrainian counter-offensive?” German Putin propagandist Alina Lipp asked the two approaching youths in the Crimean city of Yalta. The youngster casually replied that he was on the side of Ukraine after all.
Hunting youth for video
Lipp, who is no stranger to propaganda circles, then used the video recording to stir up feelings against the young man. The 29-year-old is originally from Hamburg, but has lived mainly in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Donetsk since 2021. In Germany, a preliminary investigation into the approval of criminal offenses is underway in several cases.
Forced to apologise?
According to the Göttingen prosecutor’s office, Lipp has repeatedly expressed his solidarity with and his approval of the Russian offensive war in Ukraine. In any case, the apology video appeared in a kind of “manhunt portal” of Crimean blogger Alexander Talipov, the “t-online” portal reported. After only three hours the two boys were identified, after seven hours the apology was made. Talipov is suspected of working closely with Russian authorities.
