A 70-year-old Styrian was trapped under a vintage tractor and seriously injured at an exit on Saturday. The steering rod had come loose, rendering the 1958 20 hp vehicle uncontrollable!
It should have been a nice tour, but it ended in drama: a group with seven vintage tractors started around 3:45 PM. While driving on the L638 from Lasselsdorf towards Stainz, a 70-year-old tractor’s steering linkage suddenly came loose. As a result, the vehicle could no longer be driven!
The 64-year-old tractor hit the right side of the road, drove up the slope and overturned as a result. The driver from the area of Graz fell and ended up under the tractor, the Styrian was trapped. He sustained life-threatening injuries.
After the first aid, the man flew to the LKH Graz with the rescue helicopter Christophorus 12.
