Fatal traffic accident Saturday afternoon in the Tyrolean lowlands: A motorist (25) may have overlooked a 24-year-old motorcyclist in Jenbach (Schwaz district) when turning. There was a collision, after which the young woman was catapulted onto the street. There the wounded lay unconscious.
The serious accident happened around 1:45 p.m. The 25-year-old Amsterdammer wanted to turn left with his car at the Schalser-/Auckenthalerstraße intersection and, according to the police, overlooked the young motorcyclist.
Thrown over the hood
The motorcyclist was hit by the car and thrown over the hood onto the road. “She remained unconscious on the floor,” the researchers said.
After first aid at the accident site, the injured person was flown to the Innsbruck clinic in an emergency helicopter.
